In just under an hour, the ball will be rolling in the German classic: FC Bayern will host Borussia Dortmund on the 24th Bundesliga matchday. We bring you the starting line-ups for the game.

After a narrow but deserved 3:2 win at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, Vincent Kompany’s team now face the long-awaited German classic. The clash with Borussia Dortmund could be the decider in the title race. A win would put Munich eleven points ahead of second-placed BVB.

However, FC Bayern will have to do without Manuel Neuer in goal, who remains in Munich with an injury. Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito, two defensive players, are also missing with torn muscle fibres. Otherwise, Vincent Kompany is spoilt for choice in terms of personnel.

Urbig replaces injured Neuer

As expected, Neuer replacement Jonas Urbig is in goal, with Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano starting ahead of him in central defence. Tah moves into the first eleven for Minjae Kim, while Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic start on the flanks.

In central midfield, Kompany will rely on Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlović, with Michael Olise starting on the right, Luis Díaz on the left and Serge Gnabry in the playmaker position. Harry Kane forms the striker line.

Jamal Musiala will once again be on the bench after his starting appearance against Frankfurt, as he said after the win against SGE that he „still has to be a bit careful“.
