La Liga giants Barcelona have had their path to the finale of this year’s Champions League final laid out before them.

This of course comes fresh off the Blaugrana discovering their opponents for the competition’s Last-16.

The draw for the knockout rounds of the Champions League took place earlier today.

Hansi Flick’s Barca, with eyes on another deep run in the tournament after being sent packing at the semi-final stage last season, have been pitted against Newcastle United in the Round-of-16.

In the case of advancing beyond the Magpies, though, what next for the Catalans?

A quarter-final showdown with one of Tottenham Hotspur or La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid lies on the horizon for the current Spanish top-flight leaders.

In the final-4, one of the following four clubs would then battle it with Barcelona for a coveted spot in the Budapest showpiece:

Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP, or Bodø/Glimt.
