An explanation for the lack of game-time being afforded to Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler over the early weeks of the season has on Saturday been provided.

Güler, for his part, has been afforded starts in just three of Real’s 11 fixtures across all competitions thus far in 2024/25.

As much has begun to give rise to unrest across the Blancos fanbase, amid widespread calls for the club’s Turkish sensation to be handed a more consistent chance to showcase his talents.

Carlo Ancelotti, however, wants to see an improvement in one aspect of Güler’s game, before giving the green light to such an uptick in minutes.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘The Real Madrid coach is not entirely happy with Arda Güler’s defensive involvement in the team’s training sessions.’

The coaching staff in Spain’s capital are more than satisfied with their young midfielder’s contributions in the attacking phase, but are demanding more from Güler on the other side of the ball.

Once as much is evidenced on the training pitch and on matchdays alike, the Real Madrid faithful will have their pleas answered.
