Why Barcelona are already ‘concerned’ about Vitor Roque’s move to Real Betis | OneFootball

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are already beginning to grow concerned regarding the decision to send youngster Vitor Roque to Real Betis over the summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.

Frontman Roque of course saw his name take its place front and centre in the headlines throughout the summer transfer window, amid widespread confirmation that the Brazilian was not part of the plans of new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick.

In the end, despite inquiries on the part of a whole host of clubs from across the continent, Roque linked up with Barca’s La Liga rivals, Real Betis.

This is a call, however, which some behind the scenes at the Camp Nou are already beginning to worry about.

As per the aforementioned Sport:

‘Barça are beginning to be concerned about Vitor Roque and his loan move to Betis.’

Murmurs stemming from Sevilla suggest that Manuel Pellegrini and his coaching staff have been left somewhat underwhelmed by Roque’s performances in Betis colours to date.

The attacker, in turn, could be dropped to the bench for this weekend’s derby showdown with Sevilla.

Barcelona are hopeful that the situation will ultimately turn around, but, after Roque also failed to do enough to prove himself in Catalunya, fears of a similar scenario at the Benito Villamarín are already beginning to spread.
