Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona will need to remain patient in their hopes of seeing Joan García at last pull on the club’s colours.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Víctor Navarro, who has this evening provided an insight into the details of the situation.

The name of goalkeeper Joan has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital on Friday.

This comes after widespread confirmation that Deco and the Camp Nou brass have deposited the shot-stopper’s Espanyol release clause with La Liga.

The hope, in turn, was that an official announcement on the part of Barcelona would quickly follow.

As alluded to above, though, this will not be the case…

As per a report from Víctor Navarro:

‘Barça have ordered the payment of Joan Garcia’s release clause. But La Liga still needs to validate the operation. They believe at Barça that it won’t be ready until at least Monday.’
