Today is a day to celebrate, Chivahermanos! July 29 marks the beginning of a story that has brought unforgettable moments, endless excitement, and high expectations for the Rojiblanca Nation. On this day in 2017, Chivas Femenil officially kicked off its professional era.

Not even the best scriptwriter could have written a better opening chapter. On Matchday 1 of the Apertura 2017, Chivas hosted its city rival, Atlas, at what was then the club's home, Chivas San Rafael. And what better way to begin than with a 3-0 victory in the first-ever Clásico Tapatío of the professional era.

The scoring began just seven minutes into the match. After a mistake by the opposing goalkeeper, Anette Vázquez anticipated her defender and slotted home the ball to score the first goal in Chivas Femenil history.

Just fifteen minutes later, the Rojiblancas celebrated again, capitalizing on another defensive error. Following a corner kick from the right, the ball bounced around inside the six-yard box before Daniela Pulido poked it across the goal line in the 23rd minute.

After creating several more chances before halftime, Chivas put the match beyond doubt in the 50th minute. Once again from a set piece, Pulido timed her run perfectly and glanced a header into the far corner, completing her brace and sealing the 3-0 victory.

Nine years have passed since that historic afternoon when Chivas Femenil began its journey, and the Rojiblanca Nation is confident that many more unforgettable moments are still to come.
