Victor Osimhen has long been linked with the Premier League, yet no move has been sealed. Andy Cole says multiple factors can stall such deals, even for a striker who looks a natural fit.

The Nigeria forward began in Europe with Wolfsburg, impressed on loan at Charleroi, then hit form with Lille in 2019-20. He joined Napoli and won Serie A, scoring 31 goals in 2022-23. Now at Galatasaray in Türkiye, he has 65 goals in 78 appearances.

“If he does come to the Premier League, which I think he will be very good in the Premier League, you never know who he'll go to.”

United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked at various points. Patrice Evra said: “A striker, someone who scores a goal. I think that's what I'm looking at. That's why for me, Osimhen is the best. He’s a perfect example.”

Louis Saha said: “I really like Victor Osimhen. He's definitely got the character, he's got the quality. He’s scored goals at every level. I think he would be a transformational signing for Manchester United.”

For now, the 27-year-old continues to score freely in Türkiye, and any Premier League move would hinge on those many moving parts.
