Bordeaux goalkeeping coach Wilfrid Rastoll has had his suspension cut on appeal to six months, with a further three months suspended.
According to Sud Ouest, the Disciplinary Commission discarded an allegation of discriminatory language because the match delegate did not hear any. Bordeaux staff also declared on honour that no homophobic remark was made.
Rastoll was sent off in the 89th minute for insulting referee Soulaimane Chamel during the eighth-round Coupe de France tie at Mazères, which Bordeaux won 4-3.
Bordeaux plan to submit a request to the FFF for Rastoll to be allowed to lead pre-match warm-ups. He would remain barred from the dressing rooms and the bench during games.
The coach had initially been handed nine months immediate suspension, plus three months suspended, before the appeal ruling.
