Footamateur reports that Wilfrid Rastoll, Girondins de Bordeaux’s goalkeeping coach, has been suspended for one year by the FFF’s disciplinary commission for insulting and homophobic remarks towards a referee.

The incident occurred on 29 November in the eighth round of the Coupe de France between Bordeaux and Mazères, which finished 4-3.

In the 89th minute, Rastoll directed insults, some homophobic, at the match referee, Soulaimane Chamel.

He was sent off and a disciplinary investigation was opened.

On Friday the commission issued a one-year ban, with three months suspended, citing repeat cautions and intimidating, insulting, hurtful and excessive or inappropriate behaviour towards an official during the game.
