According to L'Équipe, Nantes are moving to sign Cameroonian midfielder Wilitty Younoussa on a two-year deal after his Rodez contract expires, as they reshape for next season in Ligue 2.
The 24-year-old, formerly of Dijon, has spent the past four seasons with Rodez.
After an early-season injury, he made 28 appearances, including the play-offs. He scored the third goal in a 3-2 win over Red Star on 12 May, then faced Saint-Étienne on 15 May, a 0-0 that ended 6-7 on penalties.
A central midfielder, he has 141 Ligue 2 outings, the kind of experience Nantes are targeting as they look to climb back to the top flight.
Younoussa would be the first arrival of their window, with goalkeeper Maxime Dupé, out of contract at Nice, also in line for a two-year deal plus an optional year.
Frédéric Guilbert, who joined in January, has extended to 2028, and the team will now be coached by Michel Der Zakarian. Younoussa has two Cameroon caps, first called up in November 2024, and left Yaoundé’s AS International academy for Dijon in the 2020 winter window, playing three Ligue 1 matches in 2020-2021.
