Michael Olise continues to attract interest from Europe’s top clubs. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping a close eye on the Bayern star.

Michael Olise of FC Bayern apparently remains a topic of interest among other European heavyweights.

As transfer insider Ekrem Konur reports on fussball-news.de, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in particular are continuing to follow the Frenchman’s progress very closely. Even during the World Cup this past summer, there were repeated rumors of interest from both clubs.

According to the report, there have even been initial feelers and loose contacts through intermediaries. The aim was reportedly to gauge the financial terms of a potential transfer. However, no concrete negotiations are currently underway between Bayern and the interested clubs.

PSG and Real are said to have Olise on their agenda as a potential top transfer target for January 2027. The French club would like to lure the national team player to Paris, while Real aims to strengthen its offense with additional technical quality.

Bayern is working to keep Olise long-term

However, it seems extremely unlikely that an Olise transfer will actually become a concrete topic as early as this coming winter. Bayern Munich officials have repeatedly made it clear in recent months that the Frenchman is not on the market. Instead, the club in Munich is already considering ways to keep Olise at the club for the long term.

His current contract runs through 2029 anyway. As BILD soccer editor Christian Falk recently reported, Bayern is nevertheless considering an early contract extension. As part of a new contract, Olise could be granted a buyout clause—though under extremely stringent conditions. Figures between 150 and 250 million euros are being discussed.

“I can say, however, that any release clause in the winger’s contract will be very, very high. Should a club activate it, Bayern would have a lot of money at its disposal to sign a replacement,” Falk explained.

These plans also argue against a short-term departure this winter. Bayern’s preferred solution is clearly for him to stay long-term. Olise is said to feel at home in Munich and did not push for a transfer during the last transfer window either.

According to fussball-news.de, the Munich club intends to block any potential inquiries in January. Only an exceptionally high offer could persuade the club’s leadership to at least consider a proposal. According to the report, Bayern currently values its star forward at between 200 and 230 million euros.

Salary is also likely to be a key issue in the planned contract negotiations. Olise is reportedly seeking to have his pay brought in line with that of Munich’s top earners, Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala. A salary package of around 25 million euros per year is reportedly on the table.

Real Madrid and PSG are likely to continue closely monitoring Olise in the coming months. Liverpool FC has also been repeatedly linked with the Frenchman recently. However, given Bayern’s clear stance and plans for a contract extension, it would be a major surprise if this were to result in a mega-transfer as early as January.
