Manchester United will entertain Liverpool at Old Trafford this Sunday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Brentford recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going in the league.

Michael Carrick will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Benjamin Sesko will once again lead the charge for the Mancunian club up top.

Defence

Senne Lammens will feature in between the sticks for the Red Devils after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. Harry Maguire will function alongside Ayden Heaven at the heart of the Man United backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.

Diogo Dalot will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Luke Shaw hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Leny Yoro will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo will anchor the midfield for Man United as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Bryan Mbeumo, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo will play just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them need to combine well if they are to cause enough problems for the Liverpool centre-backs this weekend.

Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Benjamin Sesko will spearhead Man United’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace on the offensive end of the pitch.

Joshua Zirkzee will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if Man United are in need of a goal by then.
