Aston Villa will clash heads with Freiburg at Besiktas Park this Wednesday night as they hope to secure a win in the UEFA Europa League final. The West Midlands club managed to earn a dominant 4-2 win over Liverpool in the Premier League recently, which should give them a ton of confidence going into this game.
Unai Emery will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this clash. Thus, Ollie Watkins will once again get the nod to lead the line for the Villans up top.
Emiliano Martinez will play in between the sticks for the Villans after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will continue to operate alongside Pau Torres at the centre of Emery’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
Matty Cash will look to put in a solid performance as the right-back, while Lucas Digne gets another opportunity to shine on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before trying to offer support to their teammates up top.
Ian Maatsen will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Victor Lindelöf, who is a concern going into this game, and Youri Tielemans will function as the holding midfielders for Aston Villa as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and orchestrate some clear-cut chances in the final third.
The talented trio of John McGinn, Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendia will operate just ahead of them as part of Emery’s attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Villans are to secure a memorable win at Besiktas Park this Wednesday night.
Douglas Luiz and Jadon Sancho will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Ollie Watkins will spearhead Aston Villa’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the Freiburg penalty box.
Tammy Abraham will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if the Villans are in need of a goal by then.
