Bruno Guimaraes was injured during Arsenal’s Community Shield match against Manchester City, which caused him to miss their league opener against Coventry City.
The Gunners see him as a key player, which is why they spent so much to sign him at 28, and he wants to contribute to further success at the club. Guimaraes is one of the most trusted players in the league, and there are few midfielders who can match the level he has shown.
Arsenal won their first league game against Coventry 3-0, but their next match will be tougher, with Aston Villa their opponents. Unai Emery’s team are searching for their first points of the season following their opening day defeat.
The Villans will play at home and will receive plenty of support from their fans as they look to defeat the Gunners. Arsenal therefore need to start with a strong team for the fixture, particularly against a Villa side determined to respond after their poor opening result.
Arsenal fans will be eager to know whether Guimaraes will be part of their squad when the fixture begins. His presence would provide the Gunners with another important option in midfield and could strengthen their chances of securing another positive result.

Following the Coventry game, Mikel Arteta insisted that Guimaraes had not suffered a serious injury, suggesting that the midfielder could return sooner rather than later. According to Standard Sport, the Villa game could be the fixture in which he makes his return.
That would provide Arsenal with a welcome boost ahead of a challenging away fixture. Guimaraes is an important part of the team, and his availability could give Arteta greater confidence in his midfield options.
Villa will be determined to make the most of home advantage as they search for their first points, while Arsenal will want to maintain the momentum created by their convincing opening victory.
If Guimaraes is fit enough to return, his involvement could give the Gunners another boost as they prepare for what promises to be a more difficult test than their first league match.
