Harry Kane is out against Freiburg – and uncertainty is growing ahead of the Real clash, but the Bayern star’s entourage are now apparently sending out cautiously positive signals
FC Bayern are currently focusing on Harry Kane, who will definitely miss the Bundesliga match against Freiburg after experiencing ankle problems with the England national team
Coach Vincent Kompany confirmed the situation at the press conference: „Harry felt his ankle with the England national team. He won’t be available against Freiburg. It’s not nice.“ However, the Belgian remained cautiously optimistic ahead of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid: „I’m rather positive about Tuesday.“
The discomfort occurred during training with the England national team – without the intervention of an opponent. Kane then left the session early and was not even in the squad for the subsequent test match against Japan
The English FA merely spoke of a „minor injury“, without giving a precise diagnosis. Internally, it is said to be a precautionary measure following swelling in the ankle
While FC Bayern is holding back with concrete statements, there are apparently positive signals from the Kane camp
According to BILD, those close to the player are optimistic that he will be fit again for the first leg against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu
Currently, the 32-year-old has only completed individual sessions, including treatments and light workouts in the gym. He has recently missed public training sessions completely

A possible absence would be a major setback for FC Bayern. With 48 goals in 40 competitive matches, Kane is the central factor in Munich’s attacking play
A look at the statistics also shows his importance: in the few games without the Englishman, the record champions have had a much harder time recently
Kompany will have to improvise for the Freiburg game anyway, as there is no classic centre-forward available, but the hope is that the goalscorer will return in time for the clash with Real Madrid.
