What a week it has been for Will Osula.

He has played 125 minutes in the three Denmark group matches at the Under 21 Euro Finals and has got five direct goal involvements (three goals and two assists).

An average of a direct goal involvement every 25 minutes.

The Newcastle United forward in superb form, coming off the bench in the first group match to get an assist and score the winner against Ukraine, after Denmark had trailed 2-1.

Then despite Holland dominating, Will Osula was lethal in front of goal when starting the second group game, he scored both of Denmark’s goals as they came back from 1-0 down to get the victory that meant they were through with one group game remaining.

As to just how good that win was, Denmark inflicting a first defeat for the Netherlands in 25 U21 EURO qualifying and final tournament matches, stretching back to when the Netherlands lost their semi-final to Germany in 2021.

Will Osula was one of the players rested by Denmark today with the Danes already through to the last eight, where they will face France at 8pm on Sunday 22 June in their quarter-final.

However, with Denmark 1-0 up against Finland, he came on after 56 minutes and 12 minutes later supplied an assist for a teammate to make it 2-0. The Danish defence let the side down a little by allowing two late goals for a 2-2 draw,

Denmark still topped the group with seven points, whilst the Netherlands beat Ukraine 2-0 to go through as runners-up.

If Will Osula keeps this up, he could be a contender for player of the tournament, whilst Denmark in with a chance to be surprise winners of these 2025 Under 21s Euro Finals.
