Manchester City will welcome Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday as they hope to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to secure a hard-fought 5-4 over Fulham recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.
Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this contest. Hence, Erling Haaland will once again lead the charge for Man City in the final third.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will feature in goal for the Mancunian outfit after conceding four goals in his last league outing. Ruben Dias will continue to play alongside Josko Gvardiol at the heart of Guardiola’s defence.
Matheus Nunes will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Nico O’Reilly hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.
John Stones will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Bernardo Silva, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders will make up Man City‘s midfield department. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if Guardiola’s men are to secure a convincing win this weekend.
Rico Lewis will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed. However, both Rodri and Mateo Kovacic remained sidelined for the home team.
Jeremy Doku will hope to impress on the left wing, while Phil Foden hopes to make a difference on the right flank. Both of them would look to get in behind the opponent’s backline at every chance they can get.
Erling Haaland will spearhead Guardiola’s attack up top. The Norway international will fancy his chance of finding the back of the net versus Sunderland this weekend.
Rayan Cherki and Omar Marmoush will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
