William Gomes banned for two games after Casa Pia red card

William Gomes, of FC Porto, has been banned for two matches after his red card against Casa Pia, sanctioned by the FPF disciplinary board for violent play and other serious conduct.

O Jogo reports that the heavy challenge on David Sousa came during the 2-1 defeat, Porto’s first league loss of the season.

He will miss the clássico with Sporting on Monday at 20:45 and the trip to Nacional in Madeira on 15 February at 15:30.

The Brazilian is a winger.

Gomes was also fined 1,224 euros.
