William Gomes, the FC Porto winger, tops a global CIES Football Observatory ranking for off-ball accelerations across 90 minutes with a score of 7.41.
According to O Jogo, the observatory compiled the list assessing players’ bursts when they did not have possession.

It measured accelerations between nine and 25 kilometres per hour from off-ball runs over a full match.
Ismail Jakobs of Galatasaray and Lautaro Díaz of Racing completed the top three with ratings of 7.29 and 6.89 respectively.
The findings were released on Wednesday.
