William Saliba suffered a back issue in Arsenal's Champions League final defeat to PSG, placing his World Cup involvement with France in doubt.
He completed the full match in Budapest on Saturday, which finished 1-1 before Arsenal lost 4-3 on penalties to PSG. Foot Mercato reports that the injury could prevent him from playing the tournament, with France opening on 16 June against Senegal before facing Iraq on 22 June and Norway on 26 June.
The 25-year-old, capped 31 times, underwent tests on Monday to determine whether he can link up with the national team.
Results are expected to clarify the length of any absence in the coming hours, and there is already concern in his camp.
France began their preparations at Clairefontaine this week for the World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.
