William Saliba will sit out France's session on Friday, with Theo Hernandez and Aurélien Tchouaméni also held back. According to L'Équipe, the camp has played down concerns, describing a planned management of workloads.
Saliba's back remains a key focus before France begin their World Cup campaign against Senegal in New York on Tuesday, kick-off 21:00. The Arsenal centre-back again trained apart on Thursday, running only after the warm-up.
The 25-year-old has been dealing with back pain for several weeks. He was rested for the friendly defeat to Ivory Coast, 1-2, and featured for one half against Northern Ireland, 3-1.
Left-back Theo Hernandez, 28, and midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, 26, will also miss the workout at Bentley University. Both are being protected, with Tchouaméni sitting out as a precaution.
Friday's session will be open to the public for the only time during the competition. A slightly overcast sky will make conditions feel cooler than on Thursday.
