William takes No 10 at Grêmio as 2026 squad numbers confirmed | OneFootball

Grêmio’s win in Gre-Nal 450 at the Arena marked Willian’s first appearance in the No 10 shirt.

According to Globo.com, the midfielder had been wearing 88 and took the number after Cristaldo’s exit. The club terminated the Argentine’s contract and he has joined Talleres.

Willian came on in the second half. Gustavo Martins, who started the derby, also debuted a new number, now wearing six after previously being 53. That shirt had belonged to midfielder Cuéllar, who is close to leaving with a contract termination like Cristaldo.

There was another switch at eight. Edenilson previously wore it before departing for Botafogo. Arthur, back at the club since last year and initially in 29, has taken eight, the number he used at Barcelona.

Grêmio have confirmed the full 2026 squad numbers, including Weverton at one, Balbuena two, Pavon seven, Arthur eight, Amuzu nine, Willian 10 and Monsalve 11, plus Tetê 21 and Braithwaite 22.
