Williams has addressed the fallout from calling the Supercopa in Saudi Arabia 'mierda', saying the wording was not right but he does not regret it.
According to El Correo, he led players' opposition to staging the tournament in Saudi Arabia between seven and 11 January, some 5,000 kilometres away.

The Athletic captain said Ernesto Valverde spoke to him before he replied to Valverde's remarks.
He said Valverde told him he would try to play the matter down.
He accepted the term was unsuitable, yet said he has no regrets.
