Willian has urged Gabriel Jesus to resist a return to Brazilian football, advising him to resolve his situation and remain in the Premier League as Palmeiras monitor the Arsenal forward ahead of the transfer deadline.

The 29-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Emirates Stadium after repeated injuries and the arrival of fresh attacking options. He remains under contract in north London until June 2027, with Palmeiras interested in taking him home.

"I would stay, based on the experience I had. I'd choose to stay and not leave. I'd try, somehow, to find another situation and keep playing there," he told ESPN Brazil.

That stance reflects Willian's troubled return to Corinthians in August 2021, which ended in a mutual termination 12 months later after safety threats to him and his family, then a swift move back to England with Fulham. The winger, now 38, recently terminated his contract with Gremio.
