Estevao has been speaking to the media in Brazil about rumours he’s not happy with his playing time at Chelsea so far this season.

“I think every coach has their own way of playing. Of course, we work every day, I give my best every day, and that’s what I do. We have quality players at Chelsea, so what I do is focus on what I can control,” the winger said in quotes to ESPN in Brazil.

“I try to give my best in training. When I get an opportunity, I try to give my best; it goes day after day. I try to seize every opportunity I have, I try to control everything I can, and I leave it in God’s hands, and I trust myself a lot, too.”

We have faith that Estevao’s talent is enough that he will eventually get his chance. The important thing is that he has the maturity to stay patient until then, and these quotes are very promising in that regard. Cole Palmer has pulled out of England duty with an injury, and while he will likely be fit again for the return of club fixtures, it’s a reminder that Estevao is only one injury away from regular starts.
