Winks and Fazzini arrive to join Cagliari, happy to be back in Italy | OneFootball

Harry Winks and Jacopo Fazzini landed in Cagliari this afternoon to complete moves from Leicester City and Fiorentina, greeted by media and supporters.

According to Football Italia, Fazzini joins on loan with an option to buy for around €8m, after limited minutes at Fiorentina and interest from Parma.

Winks, whose Leicester contract was due to expire at the end of the season, was keen to leave following relegation. The 30-year-old previously spent time in Serie A with Sampdoria while on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the 2022/23 campaign.

"I'm really happy to be back in Italy and I can't wait to meet my new teammates," the England midfielder told reporters. "I learned a lot at Sampdoria."

Both players are scheduled to undergo medicals today, then sign their contracts and link up for pre-season under coach Fabio Pisacane. Fazzini said it was the right moment for his career and that a conversation with the coach convinced him.
