Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho has been a free agent since terminating his contract with CR Vasco da Gama. At 33, his future hangs in the balance: continue in Major League Soccer or hang up his boots for good.

Coutinho has enjoyed a remarkable career. He dazzled at Liverpool FC before joining FC Barcelona in 2018. After several stints across Europe, he returned to Brazil in 2024, but his spell with Vasco ended sooner than expected.

Media outlets are reporting a possible move to the United States, with Los Angeles Galaxy showing interest. The alternative, however, is retirement. With 68 caps and 21 goals for Brazil, Coutinho now faces a pivotal decision about the next chapter of his career.
