Wojciech Szczęsny names the Barcelona star who ‘you can’t stop’ in training | OneFootball

Barcelona star Wojciech Szczęsny has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of new teammate Marcus Rashford.

Specifically, Szczęsny has provided an insight into just how difficult the Englishman is to stop during training.

Speaking during an interview with Barcelona’s official YouTube channel, the former Arsenal and Juventus man was asked for his impression of Rashford since his arrival in Catalunya over the summer.

And ‘Tek’ did not hold back in his praise of the attacker, explaning:

“He’s an excellent player, I love him a lot. Direct in his play, attacks with speed, and he’s contributed to a lot of goals. I think he’s a complete player, and I remember him since he was 18 or 19 in the Premier League. I knew he was special back then.”

Szczęsny continued:

“He has fewer goals than he deserves, because in training, when he’s having a good day, you can’t stop him. If he shows that magical right foot more in matches, he’ll be very dangerous.”

Rashford is of course in the midst of a fine recent spell of form in Barcelona’s colours, fresh off adding his latest direct goal contribution in last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old, on loan from Manchester United, is therefore expected to feature from the off once again this Sunday, when Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana play host to Elche.
