Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim are still in talks over sporting director Andres Schicker.

Wolfsburg have recently gone through several structural changes, including firing head coach Paul Simonis and then sporting director Sebastian Schinzierlorz. Since then, they have been on the lookout for both a new head coach and a sporting director.

Schicker is expected to replace Schinzierlorz in the Autostadt, but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement. Hoffenheim are demanding a €2m transfer fee.

The Austrian moved to Sinsheim from the Austrian champions Sturm Graz a year ago, which then saw what seemed like the staff of Sturm Graz move West.

Some of Schicker’s signings include Bazoumana Toure, Leon Avdullahu, Albian Hajdari and Wouter Burger, who have all played a key role in TSG, currently sitting sixth in the Bundesliga.

Hoffenheim‘s Schicker replacement:

As it is more a matter of when, not if, Hoffenheim have already begun to search for a replacement for Schicker.

Former Hamburg sporting director Jonas Boldt is one of the candidates that the club are considering.
