Like every player in the Montpellier HSC squad, Joris Chotard (22) will be allowed to leave, should a reasonable offer arrive. MHSC have needed to sell before buying this summer, and with no significant sales, there have been no significant arrivals either.
However, that could now be about to change. Chotard, off the back of his exploits at the Olympic Games in Paris with France, is the subject of a €7m offer from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, according to a report from L’Équipe. Montpellier are, of course, open to selling Chotard and are in discussions with Wolfsburg, however, more interest from other Bundesliga clubs could be incoming in the coming hours, which could yet drive up the price of the midfielder.
Chotard joined Montpellier at the age of just 14 and has established himself as a guaranteed starter at his formative club. Last season, he played a key role once again, featuring for La Paillade on 32 occasions in all competitions. However, that may ultimately have been his final full season at the Mosson.
