The Wolves 1877 Trust has welcomed Cesar Peixoto as Wolves' new head coach, pledging strong backing as he begins his tenure.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, he was confirmed as Rob Edwards' successor on Sunday, 15 June, on a two-year contract, subject to a work permit.
Peixoto arrives with the immediate task of leading Wolves back to the Premier League following relegation to the Championship. The Trust says supporters will give him and his staff the backing they need to settle and succeed.
Chairman Keith Bickley wished Peixoto every success and said Wolves fans are unmatched for loyalty and passion, adding they will give his team loud support. He said the Trust looks forward to welcoming him to Molineux and getting behind the side next season.
The Portuguese coach arrives after guiding Gil Vicente to sixth place in the Primeira Liga.
In his first interview as head coach, the 46-year-old said he would build a team supporters can be proud of and would do everything possible to take Wolves back to the top flight.
