Wolves have completed the signing of midfielder Tommy Doyle from Manchester City.

The 21-year-old has joined the Premier League side on an initial loan deal, although it is believed the deal includes an option to make the move permanent for £5m at the end of the season.

The Athletic have reported that there will be clause that allows City a significant sell-on fee for any potential move from Doyle in the future.

Wolves head coach Gary O’Neill had to act after seeing start midfielder Matheus Nunes move the other way.

Doyle came through the ranks at City but only made seven appearances for the senior side.

He caught attention last season while on loan at Sheffield United, helping the side earn promotion to the Premier League with four goals and seven assists from midfield.
