Wolves have appointed Nathan Shi as executive chairman on a permanent basis, elevating the interim chief amid impending relegation from the Premier League.
The club said in a statement that he will continue to lead strategic direction and day-to-day operations through a crucial summer and into the 2026/27 season, reporting directly to the Fosun board.
Shi is tasked with guiding Wolverhampton Wanderers as they seek an immediate return to the top flight at the first attempt.
He took interim charge in December after previous executive chairman Jeff Shi departed following a fierce backlash from supporters, with the team still winless in the Premier League at that stage.
The appointment was described as an honour and a responsibility at a testing moment for the club, with an emphasis on listening, learning and identifying improvements. The immediate focus is on strengthening the club, building momentum and creating a team and environment supporters can be proud of.
