Wolverhampton a huge step towards Premier League survival and left Ipswich on the brink of relegation after a crucial 2-1 comeback win at Portman Road.

The Tractor Boys went ahead after 16 minutes, with Liam Delap grabbing his 12th goal of the season from a knockdown by Dara O'Shea.

Shortly after, Alex Palmer nearly gifted Wolves a goal when he misjudged a backpass from O'Shea, allowing the ball to slip under his foot. He had to scramble back to keep it out.

Wolves were awarded an indirect free-kick inside the six-yard box, but Sam Morsy blocked Emmanuel Agbadou's shot.

After the break, Vitor Pereira's side looked the better side, with Joao Gomes rattling the post as the tension built.

It wasn’t long before Pablo Sarabia found the bottom corner in the 72nd minute to level things up, thanks to some brilliant build-up play by Strand Larsen.

The Norway striker then bundled in the vital winner with just six minutes remaining, taking his tally to four goals in three consecutive games.

With this result, Kieran McKenna’s side, who sit in 22nd place, now trail Wolves by 12 points with only seven games left, leaving them with a mountain to climb.
