Wolves wrapped up Raul Jimenez’s free transfer before Mexico’s World Cup opener, and could now pursue a reunion with Adama Traore, a move the Mexican would surely welcome.
According to Molineux.news, Wolves are exploring a free transfer for Traore after his departure from West Ham United.
Rob Edwards was subsequently sacked, a decision that prompted controversy. With the dust settling, focus has shifted to further business.
Traore left Molineux alongside Jimenez in summer 2023, spending a couple of years with Fulham before joining West Ham. He is leaving West Ham and needs a new club.
There is said to be strong competition for the winger this summer, yet a second stint could appeal, with the Jimenez factor potentially influential. Across five years at Wolves he made 194 appearances, scoring 14 and assisting 20.
Numbers aside, he was a handful who often drew multiple defenders. Now in the Championship, a deal could suit Wolves and would surely please Jimenez given their understanding, having combined for 12 goals at Wolves and two at Fulham.
