Hugo Bueno has been linked with a move away from Molineux in recent days
Following their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship, it has been all change at Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent days as the club looks to plot a successful route back to the top-flight at the first time of asking.
The Old Gold and Black had spent eight unbroken years in the Premier League, with a glut of head coaches towards the end of said timeframe unable to stay in their position long enough to help turn the tide at Molineux.
Such feats were, again, reflected last season as Vitor Pereira was replaced by Rob Edwards last November after a winless start to the league season.
The 43-year-old was then able to oversee three league wins, by which time the writing was already on the wall in terms of relegation, giving those in this part of the West Midlands ample time to prepare for life back in the Championship for the first time in eight seasons.
Many expected Edwards to be given the chance to oversee such a rebuild after starting last season in fine fettle with Middlesbrough before walking out on the North East side in controversial circumstances, before he was recently replaced by Cesar Peixoto, formerly of Gil Vicente.
As is par for the course once a team has been relegated, plenty of sides in the Premier League and throughout Europe often look to source cut-price deals, and Wolves could fall victim to such circumstances in the coming weeks as exit talk surrounds Spanish defender, Hugo Bueno.

The 23-year-old has spent the majority of his career in the Black Country, having signed for the club's academy ahead of the 2019/20 season from CD Areosa.
After making his debut in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest in October 2022 under the interim management of Steve Davis and James Collins, he has since gone on to make 87 first-team appearances for Wolves across all competitions, scoring three times and posting two assists.
Despite making 26 of those outings in the 2023/24 season, in which he netted his first senior goal in the FA Cup defeat to Coventry City, Bueno spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Dutch Eredivisie side, Feyenoord, before returning last term and making 38 appearances.
However, in recent days, the Spanish youth international has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A side, Fiorentina, with Matteo Moretto breaking an initial update via X.
Alfredo Pedulla subsequently claimed that there was no truth in such links. However, both Football Insider and TEAMtalk have since stated that Wanderers have placed a valuation of approximately £15m on Bueno's services after the opening of the summer window.
The defender, who is also capable of featuring in a more advanced role, is currently under contract at Molineux for two further years after signing a four-and-a-half year contract extension in November 2023.

There are not too many reactions given to the news from Wolves fans in the social media sphere to the aforementioned developments, but one supporter in particular has slammed the potential exit of Bueno, stating that an adequate replacement may not be sourced for the £15m fee which the club appear to have placed on the Spaniard.
Bueno is not the only defender linked with a move away from Molineux at this moment in time in truth, with the duo of Toti Gomes and Czechia's star performer at the FIFA World Cup 2026, Ladislav Krejci, linked with Benfica and Besiktas respectively.
However, if Peixoto was to part ways with the defender shortly after taking charge, an immediate replacement would likely need to be sourced, with David Moller Wolfe the only natural senior left-back who would remain at the club.
Summer signing, Kieran Trippier, has played at left-back on occasions in his career, but it is clear that he will be utilised in his natural position of right-back in competition with 19-year-old Pedro Lima, with Jackson Tchatchoua expected to depart.
