Cesar Peixotos first Wolves friendly in England brought a 1-0 win at Maidenhead, though the performance was patchy.

Kieran Trippier again looked a cut above, but new signing Rafiki Said struggled to beat his marker, repeatedly lost the ball and hobbled off with a knock after 20 minutes.

The opportunities fell to youngsters. Tawanda Chirewa impressed as a number 10 then as a makeshift number nine, despite missing a huge chance for 2-0, while Leon Chiwome had openings and Tom Edozie has looked sharp in recent games.
