The ex-Wolves defender has commented on Kieran Trippier's move to Molineux.
As Wolves prepare for life back in the Championship, they have kicked off their summer transfer window business in very quick fashion.
Rob Edwards’ men will have their eyes firmly set on an instant return to the big time following their relegation from the Premier League, which will see the Black Country outfit play second tier football for the first time in eight years.
And in order to be in contention for immediate promotion, the Black Country outfit have looked to add experience to their backline, confirming the signing of former England international Kieran Trippier on a free transfer, who has penned a two-year contract.
The 35-year-old arrives at Molineux after a four-year stint at Newcastle United, while he also spent time at the top of the game with Tottenham Hotspur and Atlético Madrid.
Of course, Trippier is entering the twilight period of his career, but it is still seen as such a shrewd addition for Wolves to pick up someone of his calibre and experience.
Posting on his Instagram account, Kieran Trippier issued a message to Wolves supporters after his move to Molineux was confirmed this week, expressing his excitement at joining the club and his eagerness to begin working with his new colleagues.
Trippier tweeted: “I am delighted to join Wolves, a new chapter and one I’m ready for. I’m looking forward to working with the team, and giving my all on the pitch. I can’t wait to meet the fans and play at Molineux.”
And after posting on his social media account, former players have commented there, including ex-Wolves defender Conor Coady.

While Wolves supporters will be ecstatic by the news of Kieran Trippier's arrival, Conor Coady's comment about the 35-year-old's arrival will have sparked even further joy.
On Trippier's Instagram post about his move to Molineux, Coady responded: "Top club brother, filled with top people."
It even triggered a few responses from Wolves supporters, who revealed the former Championship title winning defender would be welcome back at Molineux to help repeat the feat.

While Kieran Trippier is heading into the latter stages of his career, there wouldn’t have been much surprise to see him land a move to another Premier League outfit this summer, particularly for the promoted trio of Coventry City, Ipswich Town or Hull City, who may well have needed that level of experience in their own ranks.
So for Wolves to land him in the Championship shows how ambitious they are, with the 35-year-old set to be a high-class defender to have on their books given his previous pedigree at the very top of world football.
The full-back may well struggle with the constant relentlessness of the division and will need to be rotated rom time to time, but there’s no doubt that his equally effective attacking and defensive abilities, paired with his outstanding leadership qualities, means he could be the standout player to help lead the club back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
It’s certainly a very good start to the transfer window for Wolves, who will be hopeful they can land similar signings and build a squad that can take next season’s Championship campaign by storm.
