According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Wolves Former Players Association has refreshed its brand and launched a redesigned website to honour its heritage while preparing for the future.
Developed with Wolverhampton-based agency Sodium & Co, the project delivers a refined logo and a modern visual identity for consistent use across events, publications, merchandise and online channels.
Formed in 1988, the Association brings together former Wolverhampton Wanderers players across generations. It supports ex-players and their families, runs reunions and events, celebrates the club’s history and raises funds for community charities.
As the organisation has grown, it identified the need for a clearer, more contemporary look, focusing on strengthening what already existed rather than a wholesale change. The site makes it easier to celebrate former players, follow events and learn about its ongoing work.
Sodium & Co’s creative director Chris Green said working with the group was a privilege, and that the aim was to respect its heritage while giving it the confidence and flexibility to tell its story for years, for former players and the wider city.
Chairman and former striker John Richards said the collaboration had been positive, supporting the Association’s growth, its help for former players and its partnerships that aid local charities and community groups. He said a clearer identity helps it share information and stories in an engaging way.
The refresh provides a platform for the Association’s continued work, ensuring the stories, achievements and legacy of former Wolves players can inspire future generations of supporters.
