The Czech captain received a second booking in the 85th minute, departing late on in Oviedo on Saturday.

The setback may not be the worst news for Wolves, as he returned from injury during the international window.

The former Girona defender missed the Black Country Derby win over Albion with a calf problem, then sat out the Czechs’ defeat to Croatia the following weekend.

He played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 loss to England in Prague last Tuesday, before starting again against Spain.

Wolves visit Middlesbrough next Saturday.
