Tolu Arokodare has not travelled with Wolves for their week-long pre-season camp in Portugal, with clubs pushing to sign the striker. According to ExpressAndStar.com, he stayed behind on Monday as the squad flew out.

Fiorentina had a loan bid turned down because the fee was too low, and talks between the clubs continue. The Italian side would need to raise the proposal to make progress.

Trabzonspor also saw a loan offer rejected last week and remain in talks. It is understood Arokodare favours Italy over Türkiye, and Fiorentina are expected to return with an improved bid.

Arokodare is expected to leave Wolves this summer, with a loan currently looking the likeliest route out. The 25-year-old Nigeria international only joined last summer for up to £24 million and scored three Premier League goals, six in all competitions, from 38 games as Wolves were relegated.

He reported back to Compton last week and is edging towards an exit. Former head coach Rob Edwards was keen to move him on following a dressing-room clash with team-mate Mateus Mane after the 4-0 defeat to West Ham, in which Arokodare was the sole aggressor. Under new boss Cesar Peixoto, he is expected not to be involved for Wolves next season.
