Wolves enjoyed exclusive access to day two of pre-season in Portugal, where Cesar Peixoto oversaw a structured, intense morning session.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the day followed a late Monday finish at 11.20pm on the Fosun 10-year series, then an early Tuesday start. Cloud cover eased the heat, though the forecast hints at tougher days ahead.

Drills were straightforward but taxing, work that will underpin their Championship season. Mateus Mane looked sharp and stronger, and there was a first look at new arrivals Kieran Trippier and Rafiki Said, with deeper analysis to follow this week.

After training, a daily video was shot by the pitches, then it was back to the apartment to upload and publish a piece on Ki-Jana Hoever. The defender is expected to leave this summer and, like Tolu Arokodare, has not travelled to Portugal.

With three right-backs in camp, Trippier, Pedro Lima and Jackson Tchatchoua, a departure for Hoever would make sense. The move has not worked, with 33 appearances in six years, and a sensible solution is sought during the window.

The afternoon went on training analysis and interview prep, before France v Spain in the evening. Focus now turns to England against Argentina on Wednesday night in a huge semi-final, then straight back to work from the camp.
