Wolves have unveiled their 2026/27 home kit to mark the club’s 150th anniversary, with supporters choosing a return to orangey gold.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Rob Edwards’ side will be in the Championship next season after relegation, and the club hopes to bounce back.

After consultation with SUDU and supporter groups, a fan vote settled a long-running debate over the shade of gold. Historian Peter Crump showcased past shirts, then three options were offered, rusty brown gold from the 1930s to 1950s, orangey gold from the 1970s to 1990s, and a brighter recent tone.

Nearly 10,000 fans voted on the club app and orangey gold won with 47 per cent. Crump said the colour recalls Wolves’ great years, unites generations and is a fitting fans’ choice for the 150th.

The Wolverhampton city coat of arms replaces the club badge, its first appearance on a Wolves shirt in more than 30 years. It last featured between 1993 and 1996 and on the 1960 FA Cup final winning shirt.

A percentage of each home shirt sale will support the Wolves Foundation. Prices are £80 for the adult pro, £60 for the standard adult, and £45 for junior.

The kit goes on sale from nine am online and 10am in the club store on Friday, June 5.
