Wolves have dismissed head coach Rob Edwards after seven months in charge, with his coaching staff also leaving. The 43-year-old oversaw 30 matches during his tenure.

The club said in a statement that a review at the end of the season concluded a change in leadership was needed as Wolves enters the next stage of its development, adding that the search for a new head coach is already under way and further updates will follow. It also thanked Edwards and his staff for their professionalism and commitment.

Edwards had been expected to help rebuild the squad and played a central role in shaping recruitment plans.

He was involved in Andre signing a new contract and in Kieran Trippier agreeing to join the club, and he appeared in the video announcing Raul Jimenez’s return.

He was told of the decision this morning, with the club later confirming his exit.
