have made a major statement ahead of the new Championship season by bringing in former England international Kieran Trippier on a free transfer.
The veteran defender has signed a two-year contract after leaving Newcastle United this summer, becoming the first addition of Rob Edwards' rebuild at Molineux following the club's relegation from the Premier League.
Despite turning 35 earlier this year, Trippier arrives with an impressive pedigree and plenty left to offer. During his time at Newcastle, he was one of the key figures in the dressing room and helped guide the club back into European competition, making 160 appearances in all competitions.
Before his spell on Tyneside, Trippier enjoyed successful periods with Burnley, Tottenham and Atlético Madrid, winning the Spanish title with the latter in 2021. He also played in the 2019 Champions League final with Spurs.
Internationally, the right-back collected 54 England caps and featured in two European Championship finals. His memorable free-kick against Croatia at the 2018 World Cup remains one of the standout moments of his international career.
