Wolves submit €19m bid for Lens’ Kevin Danso | OneFootball

Wolves have submitted a €19m bid to sign Lens centre-back Kevin Danso (26) on Sunday, according to reports from The Telegraph and L’Equipe. The 26-year-old Austria international has been the subject of long-standing admiration from Premier League clubs. Danso reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Wolves in January, prompting the Premier League side to sign Reims’ Emmanuel Agbadou. L’Equipe mentions that Lens and Danso’s stances are still unknown, although Will Still was adamant Danso has no desire to move on.

Losing Danso this close to the end of the transfer window would be a bitter blow for Still as Lens have already parted ways with captain Brice Samba and centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov for a combined €64m. The Telegraph understands that Wolves have monitored Danso for more than a year and a deal could now be completed before the weekend. The Austria international would make a return to the Premier League after spending the 2019-2020 campaign on loan at Southampton FC from FC Augsburg.
