Wolves are considering a move to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi as the club’s summer rebuild continues.
Disasi is free to leave Chelsea after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Frenchman failed to win favour under Enzo Maresca last season and is exploring his options ahead of a permanent exit from Stamford Bridge.
Wolves are interested in a potential deal, according to SPTC, having made enquiries for Disasi in January before his loan move to Midlands rivals Villa. Defensive additions are a priority for Vitor Pereira, who faces a challenging summer with significant squad turnover.
Matheus Cunha (£62.5m to Manchester United) and Rayan Ait-Nouri (£31m to Manchester City) have departed, while the club has made three new signings: Jhon Arias (£15m), Fer Lopez (£19m), and Jorgen Strand Larsen (£23.5m).
Recent transfer activity includes the departure of Goncalo Guedes to Real Sociedad and ongoing negotiations for Fabio Silva’s exit to Borussia Dortmund.
Pereira is reportedly seeking more additions before the Premier League season begins, with the club having made a net profit of £14.3 million in the transfer window so far. However, concerns remain about squad depth ahead of their opening fixture against Manchester City.
