Wolves are expected to reshape their goalkeeping department this summer, with Jacob Widell Zetterstrom thought to be on their radar. At least one of Jose Sa or Sam Johnstone could depart.

Fabrizio Romano said on X that Wolves were looking at Jacob Widell Zetterstrom, who plays for Derby County.

Sa was first choice for most of last season, with Johnstone getting an early run before Sa returned to the starting line-up when Rob Edwards replaced Vitor Pereira. Both are 33 and on high wages.

Zetterstrom joined Derby in summer 2024 from Djurgardens IF and has emerged as one of the Championship’s stronger performers. He kept seven clean sheets in 33 appearances last term and impressed.

His save percentage was 71.43% in the Championship, higher than Sa and Johnstone’s Premier League figures of 64% and 62% respectively.

He has been called into Sweden’s final World Cup squad and has featured against Japan. Rated for commanding his area and agility, he has also saved four penalties for Derby. At 27, his profile could make sense if Wolves refresh the position.
