Wolves host Chelsea in the Carabao Cup tonight looking to bounce back from recent woes.
Vitor Pereira’s position is under threat after opening the Premier League season with a nine-game winless run. The manager and players clashed with fans following defeat to Burnley at the weekend.
This competition has at least provided some morale, with Wolves beating top-flight teams in West Ham United and Everton to reach this stage. A win will take Wolves in the EFL Cup quarter-finals for just the second time this century.
Despite their poor results, Wolves have a near full-strength squad to choose from for tonight’s tie. The club’s only confirmed absentee is Leon Chiwome, owing to a knee injury.
Jorgen Strand Larsen will lead the line and offers Wolves’ biggest threat. The Norwegian has scored three times in all competitions this season, including twice in the 3-2 win over West Ham in the second round.
Emmanuel Agbadou, Joao Gomes and Hwang Hee-chan could all come in after starting the weekend defeat to Burnley on the bench.
Wolves possible starting XI: Johnstone; Hoever, S Bueno, Krejci, H Bueno; Munetsi, Gomes, Andre; Arias, Larsen, Hwang.
Wolves host Chelsea in the the Carabao Cup’s fourth round on Sunday 29th October 2025. Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is 19:45 BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports+ for UK viewers. Sky Sports subscribers can stream the action online via the Sky Sports website and app, or via Sky Go
