Morocco will host the 14th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026) from March 17 to April 3.
Sixteen nations will compete in the tournament, including defending champions Nigeria, as well as Morocco and South Africa—three heavyweights tipped as favorites for the ultimate crown.
The Malawi women’s national team will participate for the very first time in the final tournament of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026).
Lovemore Fazili, head coach of the Scorchers, called up the following players for the most recent Cosafa Cup edition:
Goalkeepers: Mercy Sikelo (Kukoma Ntopwa), Yamikani Kaonga (MDF Lioness), Esther Maulidi (Mighty Wanderers Queens).
Defenders: Chimwemwe Madise (TP Mazembe), Ireen Khumalo (Silver Strikers Ladies), Rose Alufandika (Kukoma Ntopwa), Maggie Chavula (Ascent Soccer Academy), Maureen Kenneth (Ascent Soccer Academy), Doreen Dickson (MDF Lioness), Benadetta Mkandawire (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women), Olivia Phikani (Kukoma Ntopwa), Tionge Phiri (Silver Strikers Ladies).
